About

Ten is a vampire that keeps mostly to himself. He thinks himself a connoisseur of the finest wines, and the most appetizing humans. He does require human blood to survive, but he enjoys the taste of a wide variety of species. Except Merfolk. Even before he was turned, he didn't particularly care for fish. While he doesn't need to eat food, he can--just chooses not to. Drinking, on the other hand, is something he does quite often recreationally. There are very few species he has yet to feed from, but he will show particular interest to any supernatural who finds themselves in his cross-hairs. He doesn't leave his mansion very often, but if he has to leave his home it's when the sun is down or sporting a large black umbrella, gloves, and a tailored suit to keep his skin covered as best he can. Direct sunlight will cause him to burn--not burs into flames burn, but imagine an instantaneous sunburn. High SPF sunscreen helps lessen the intensity somewhat, but the process is still very painful so he prefers to remain indoors during the day time, sleeping.

Personality

Ten has been around long enough that he knows how to survive. He can tell when it is and isn't a good idea to play with his food, and when to eat and leave. He hardly ever gets emotionally attached to anyone or anything because the effort it would take him to be cautious around anyone he cared for enough not to want to drain isn't worth it. Ten doesn't make emotional connections with people because they die, so most of his friends are vampires--or would be if he kept any friends. He's difficult to get along with, a few obsessive compulsions that he can't get rid of make him very particular about the things he likes (or hates), and his upbringing has caused him to be painfully entitled. Assertive to the point of bossiness, and spiteful to the point of cruelty, he's not a very good enemy to make when he has plenty of time and resources to dedicate to making anyone's life miserable. He has a soft spot for people who can keep him interested in a conversation.

Extra

ABILITIES

- If Ten is well-fed and healthy, he has superhuman strength. It's enough to easily overpower someone three times his size. With that same strength, he can jump very high, but cannot fly.
- When he drinks the blood of someone it works like a signal making it easy for him to track down that person.
- Ten can dematerialize into shadows and appear elsewhere. This works over long distances. It takes time, so it's not quite teleportation, but generally makes a long trip across town take a couple of minutes.

WEAKNESSES

- Inability to tolerate sunlight
- Fire
- Extreme exertion or injury trigger a strong feeding response in which he will try to eat whatever is closest to regain his strength
- Dirt, messes, and disorganization
